Cristiano Ronaldo says the timing of the contentious interview "won't shake." Spain team

Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal, justified the timing of the Piers Morgan interview, telling reporters on Monday that it "won't upset the changing room's attention and focus" before the World Cup.

The finest time in my life is always my timing, Ronaldo stated during a news conference.

"I don't need to consider what other people might think. Anytime I want, I talk. The players have known me for a long time and are familiar with my personality.

"They're an eager, motivated group with high aspirations. So I'm confident that the interview won't disrupt the focus and concentration in the changing room.

In an interview with Morgan last week, the 37-year-old Manchester United attacker expressed his disappointment in the organization, his disdain for manager Erik ten Hag, and doubts about his future with the squad.

On Friday, Manchester United declared that it had "started the necessary actions" in reaction to Ronaldo's comments.

According to a number of British media publications, the club is allegedly considering terminating Ronaldo's contract as a result of the contentious interview.

The club has retained attorneys and is thinking about taking legal action against Ronaldo, according to sources cited by The Guardian and The Athletic. The attacker has been told not to come back to the club's training facility, Carrington, when the World Cup is over, according to The Guardian.

Since landing in Doha on Friday after being forced to miss Portugal's friendly match against Nigeria in Lisbon the day before due to a stomach virus, Ronaldo has been working out with teammates as normal.

I'm in excellent shape, have fully healed, am training well, and am prepared to begin the World Cup in the best way possible, stated Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, who is competing in his fifth and maybe final World Cup, believes Portugal to be the finest team competing.

"I think this Portugal team has incredible potential. We need to concentrate on the upcoming game, but I am certain that we can win. So, the goal is to concentrate on Ghana, win, and then go forward.

“We will see in the end who the best team is, but I believe Portugal is the best team in this World Cup. But we need to show it on the pitch”, he added.

Portugal is in World Cup Group H alongside Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea.
